Reliable, easy-to-handle strapping for temporary applications in food service, food processing, and agriculture

PAC Strapping Products, a leader in the strapping and packaging industry, highlights its Bucklestraps, a lightweight and ready-to-use solution designed for temporary strapping applications across agricultural environments, food processing, and warehouse operations. Ideal for securing field-picked produce and other short-term loads, PAC’s Bucklestraps provide a consistent, dependable option for bundling and unitizing in fast-paced operations.

Bucklestraps are available in two standard pre-cut configurations engineered for repeatable performance. The BKS1217 features a black, 17-foot plastic strap paired with a wire buckle and offers a nominal break strength of 300 pounds. Each strap is individually wound, with 500 pieces supplied per carton. The white BKS Plastic W model includes a 17-foot strap with an integrated plastic buckle, also providing a 300-pound nominal break strength and packed individually wound in cartons of 500. Both items are designed for high-volume use in environments where materials must be secured quickly and consistently.

While both options deliver reliable load containment, many users prefer the BKS Plastic W for applications where weight, handling, and downstream packaging considerations are critical. The BKS Plastic W is approximately 11 percent lighter than comparable wire buckle options, helping reduce overall package weight. Plastic Bucklestraps are also wound tighter, allowing for smoother dispensing and minimizing the risk of straps catching or sticking in cloth pockets or pouches. In addition, the use of plastic buckles reduces the need for metal detection during packaging, supporting streamlined inspection processes in food-related operations.

To support a wide range of operational needs, PAC Strapping also offers custom Bucklestraps in varying lengths and break strengths, available with minimum order quantities. These options allow facilities to match strap characteristics to specific product handling or field conditions.

Clear instructions accompany each Bucklestrap to support proper application. For wire Bucklestraps, users insert the strap through the center of the buckle, over the open leg, under the closed leg, and  pull the loop tight. For plastic Bucklestraps, users form a small loop, feed it through the center of the buckle, fold the buckle leg into the loop, and pull tight. When additional tension is needed, a manual tensioner can be used by aligning the strap between the pulling-and-locking bars, tightening to the desired tension, and cutting away excess strap. Safety guidelines emphasize wearing appropriate protective equipment, avoiding placing hands between the strap and package, maintaining alignment during tensioning, and exercising caution when cutting to prevent strap recoil.
