Becomes the Only Indian Single Malt to Earn Recognition Across Eight Leading Global Whisky Competitions in a Row Over the Last One Year
GianChand Whisky has added another major international accolade to its growing global credentials, with GianChand Manshaa and GianChand Adambaraa winning Gold medals at the World Whisky Masters 2026, one of the world’s most respected blind-tasting competitions. The latest achievement makes GianChand the only Indian single malt to have earned recognition across eight leading global whisky competitions over the past year, marking a defining milestone for the brand and further strengthening India’s position on the world whisky map.
With the latest honours, GianChand has now been recognised at the World Whisky Masters, San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), International Spirits Challenge (ISC), International Whisky Competition (IWC), Meininger’s International Spirits Award (ISW), Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards. Together, these competitions represent some of the most respected benchmarks of excellence in the global spirits industry, with winners selected through rigorous blind tastings by internationally renowned experts.
At the World Whisky Masters 2026, both GianChand expressions earned Gold for their distinctive craftsmanship and character. GianChand Adambaraa, matured in premium American bourbon casks, impressed judges with its elegant floral aromas, delicate fruit notes and refined malt character. GianChand Manshaa, crafted using traditional peat-smoking techniques and matured in Jammu’s unique climatic conditions, was recognised for its beautifully balanced smoky profile complemented by sweet malt and subtle caramel notes.
