Mauritian Rum brand launches Indian variant in Goa

Wise Monkey’s award-winning Rums are now available in India’s party capital — Goa. Following the brands debut at Prowine 2024 and launch across Delhi and Hyderabad Duty Frees, the purely molasses-based Rum captured interest of several spirits enthusiasts.

Crafted by Mauritian company Nirvana Works International Ltd. in partnership with Goa’s Sunmoon Distillery, the brand brings together the dream team of Mauritian rum-making traditions and Indian taste profiles.

From their lineup including Jamaican and Mauritian blends, Wise Monkey launched two signature blends in Goa:

  • Wise Monkey Indian Spiced Rum —a carefully crafted traditional blend of Indian spices and the first Indian rum to win gold at the London Spirits Competition.
  • Wise Monkey Café Rum — a molasses-based rum infused with a unique three-coffee blend of Arabica, Robusta, and Liberica.

Wise Monkey Rum stands out as a gamechanger in the Indian rum landscape, which is heavily polarised between low-budget grain spirits and ultra-premium labels. Striking a balance between quality and accessibility, the brand becomes one of its kind Mauritian-inspired Rums in the country.

Priced at Rs. 1600, both blends are available in retail stores across North and South Goa.
